Mt. Biking: Malvern Hills
Wind Direction: SW
Wind Stength: 30Knots
Surf / Sea State:
Air Temperature: 18C
Sea Temperature:
Weather: Perfect
Max Speed: 46kph (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 16.2kM (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Set off for a quick lunchtime session, it looked a little misty at top when I set off, but quicky cleared. So up the road to the wood, managed the first accent without putting a foot down, which can be tricky given the sharp turns and steep incline (plus the knowledge that I might not be able to clip out fast enought to prevent an off ). The tracks had dried and were fast and the weather was perfect with a lovely warm breeze to keep cool on the accent. However the breeze turned into a 30+knot gale between the Beacon and North hill. It was like hitting a wall and uphill, however on the east side of North Hill it was like a summers day. Tried a new decent which initially involved carrying the bike (doh) but the latter part was very technical (for me), the track was no more that a 1 foot wide with a steep drop off on the right, so not the time to have a little speed wobble or lose concentration.
Eventually found the path back across the common through the ford crossing the stream at near max speed (computer said 46kph) and back to work with a grin on my face. Total ride time 1hr 20 mins. It certainly kept me in my seat at the desk for the rest of the afternoon.
